l FARLOE Ferdinand, one of Paddy Curtin’s most trusted charges, has been retired through injury.

The four-and-a-half year old ran in more than 100 races, and had a 25 per cent success rate in open events.

He reached the final of the Scurry Gold Cup and was also twice a finalist at the Ladbroke Festival. He is likely to spend his retirement with his owner.
