Aston Rowant trainer Alan Hill could run either More Trouble or Bon Accord in the men’s open at the Vale of Aylesbury with Garth & South Berks point-to-point meeting at Kingston Blount, near Chinnor, on Saturday.

The Rodney Mann-owned pair are among a 15-strong entry for the day’s feature race, and both are on retrieving missions after being beaten when odds-on shots last time out.

More Trouble, a five-time course winner including the intermediate on this card last year, blotted his copybook when running out at Fakenham last time out.

And Bon Accord, who also holds an entry in the members’ race, went down by neck after a great duel with Buckby Lane at Kimble.

Lord Alfred, a three-lengths second to Raleagh House at Bitterley last month, course winner Ashstorm and the useful Novi Sad could also line up.

Hill will also have high hopes for Balladeer, a winner at this venue in March, in the ladies’ open.

However, the 12-year-old will have his work cut out if Christy Beamish, the 2008 Aintree Fox Hunters, faces the starter.

Sir Ronan, a winner at Ashorne on Monday for Hill’s yard, could bid for a swift follow up in the restricted, which opens the meeting at 2pm.

The seven-year-old, who landed a maiden on this card last year, ran out a comfortable six-lengths winner from Elite Beneficial at the Warwickshire venue.

However, if the grey is still feeling the effects of that outing, Hill has the option of running Bynack Mhor, who is also entered in the members’ race, here.
