Oxford United and Rushden could not be separated in the first half of their play-off semi-final second leg at the Kassam Stadium.
A crowd of just under 12,000 saw a cagey first 45 minutes, with Dannie Bulman going close for the U's, with a 20-yard shot that keeper Dale Roberts palmed away.
The sides were level at 1-1 from the first leg, so United were just 45 minutes from Wembley, if they could edge in front . . .
