Henley captain Bjorn Mordt could be ruled out for up to eight weeks after breaking a leg playing football.

But he believes his absence may actually work in the team's favour as they travel to Falkland tomorrow.

Mordt said: "I broke my leg on Sunday. I had a Minor Counties game for Berkshire and we were playing a bit of football on the side.

"I just tripped and twisted my leg and ended up breaking my left fibula.

"My leg is in plaster and I'm still aching now.

"The doctor in A & E said I would take six to eight weeks to recover, but you only really know after a week when you go to a specialist."

Middlesex youngster Danny Housego repalces Mordt at Falkand, while Chris Ellison will fill in as skipper.

Mordt added: "I haven't been scoring any runs this year, so hopefully the guys who come in will actually improve the team."

Oxfordshire paceman Stuart Hole is set to return for Oxford's trip to Reading.

Hole has been named in a 12-man squad alongside brother Simon, but batsman Adam Cook is ruled out due to work commitments.

All-rounder Stewart Laudat is also back as Oxford target their first win of the season.

Captain Pat Jobson is just hoping they can avoid a third rain-affected game in a row.

"I think every cricketer just wants some good weather.

"Our ground is absolutely saturated, as are most of the others I've seen."

Opening batsman Eddie Phillips is back for Banbury's clash with Slough at White Post Road a week after hammering a century for the 4th XI.

Phillips returns to the side with Chris Smith back at Cardiff University in the only change to the line-up from last week's rained-off game at Henley.

Phillips was due to play for the 2nd XI against Aston Rowant last Saturday.

But when their game was also washed out, he was switched to the 4th XI in Division 9B of The Oxford Times Cherwell League, and smashed 107 off the Horspath 3rd attack.
