Carterton are looking for a new manager after Terry Merriman quit the GLS Football Hellenic League outfit.

Merriman feels he needs a rest from football, and after spending eight years at Kilkenny Lane.

He took Carterton to three cup finals, the latest being last month's Oxfordshire Senior Cup final against Banbury United at the Kassam Stadium, and along with assistant Steve Hale, he has built a strong squad.

Carterton chairman Nick Truman said: "Terry will be missed by everyone at Carterton, especially the players and supporters.

"He always found time for anyone to discuss football, and never ducked a question.

"Needless to say we wish Terry all the best for the future and thank him for the great job he has done here, as a player and a manager."

Meanwhile, Kevin Lewis landed all three major awards at Carterton's annual awards evening.

Lewis was named manager's, players' and supporters' player of the year.

Danny King scooped the manager's player-of-the-year award for the reserve team, with John Andrews taking the players' award.
