THE Jamega Tour comes to Witney Lakes for a second year in a row next week.

And tour organiser Tony Jones has hailed the course ahead of the event on Wednesday and Thursday.

Jones said: "We are delighted to be returning to Witney Lakes.

"We have been closely monitoring the ever-improving playing conditions at Witney, which now provides the ideal venue for a two-day pro event."

Spectators are welcome for the 60-player plus tournament, which will feature Challenge Tour Order of Merit winners such as Warren Bennett and John Hoskinson.

THE Oxfordshire duo Howard Robinson and Ian Fraser have reached the International Pairs semi-finals after winning a qualifier at their home club.

Robinson, who plays off nine, and 11-handicapper Fraser led the field with 42 stableford points.

Their semi-final will be at either The Kendleshire, Cruden Bay, Monifieth, Montrose, Murcar, Crieff or Aylth, with Carnoustie and St Andrew's Bay hosting the 36-hole final.

Now in its eighth year, the International Pairs is the largest club competition of its kind in the world.

The UK winners will represent their country in the world final next year.
