FRILFORD Heath's Jim Wilson produced an excellent display to finish second in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Seniors Championship at Beaconsfield.
And it was a good two days for Oxfordshire clubs as John Summers, of Oxford City, came just one shot behind in third.
Wilson's 36-hole total of 149 was also enough to land him the 55 to 59 year-old age group title, but there was no catching perennial winner David Lane.
The Goring & Streatley member carded 146 to land his eighth seniors champion- ship in nine years.
Four-handicapper Wilson shot a 74 on Monday and just one shot worse on Tuesday.
Summers, who plays off two, began with a 77, but his second round 73 was the best of the day.
Other notable Oxfordshire performances included Frilford's Ian Disney, who finished joint eighth on 155.
The Oxfordshire's Jim Cameron matched him and won the handicap award with a nett 145.
Frilford's Michael Huntley finished 14th and won the over 70s category.
