Oxford Cheetahs boss Aaron Lanney is calling for more pride and passion as they take on Wolverhampton in the Skybet Elite League at the Stadium tonight (7.30pm).

Lanney expects more from his basement team, particularly on their home circuit where he feels they under-achieved badly against Belle Vue last week.

Wolves have also struggled, so Cheetahs must beat the side immediately above them if they are to have a chance of climbing up the league.

Lanney said: "The league table doesn't lie and the most frustrating aspect for me is that I know the boys can do better.

"I really hope they take my comments on board.

"I'd like to think I've supported the boys as much as I possibly can during the early stages of my promoting career, and I want to see passion and loyalty out there on the track."

Lubos Tomicek returns to bolster the team, and the fans will be expecting great things after his paid 15 points at Belle Vue.

Cheetahs went down 47-43 against Wolves in the KO Cup here earlier in the season, and one man who starred for them then was Swedish ace Peter Karlsson, who is riding out of his skin at the moment.

The 36-year-old is having probably his best season.

Oxford expect skipper David Howe to be back to something like his best after being taken ill during last week's defeat against Belle Vue, while Todd Wiltshire is getting back to his old self and should cause Wolves some problems.

Oxford: Wiltshire, Watt. Skornicki, Eriksson, Howe, Andersson, Tomicek.

Wolverhampton: P Karlsson, M Karlsson, Correy, Lindgren, Hamill, Wilson, Hefenbrock.
