Aaron Lanney's prediction that he could not see any more changes to the line-up looks to have backfired following last week's defeat against Belle Vue.
After the meeting, he described Cheetahs' performance as gutless and wished they were trying as hard as he is for Oxford speedway.
He does have a point, as there are a few under-achievers in the team and they have time to get things sorted out be it set-up, engines or mental state.
It can't be easy when a team are losing so often and so heavily, especially on their travels.
Confidence is a great booster, but there has been little to boost the team or individuals so far this season apart from a couple of outstanding performances.
What changes can be made?
There's been much speculation of late about the return of the Dryml brothers, Ales and Lukas.
They are both available and not riding in this country at the moment.
Lanney is a man who can only take so much, but when the chips are down, he is not afraid of wielding the axe.
