Saxton Rovers moved a step nearer to reclaiming the Division 1 championship crown with a 3-2 win at rivals Jackass Inn.

A first-half Johnny Pearce penalty-double gave Jackass the edge, before Michael Beale clawed a goal back.

After the break, Wayne Harbert levelled with a super chip from outside the box to equalise, only to injure himself during the goal celebration.

Beale then did the same after bagging the winner with his second of the game.

Saxton now need only four points from their remaining games to take the title again.

AFC Kidlington's escape bid suffered a blow as they lost 4-2 at home to high-flying Horseshoe.

Dave Brennan and Ady White gave Kidlington a two-goal cushion, only for Horseshoe to hit back through a James Mortimer-Jones double, including a penalty, and a Chris Herbert brace.

Division 2 leaders Cross Keys are six points clear and one of six teams who can still finish top.

Cross Keys beat Long Wittenham on Thursday, 2-1, with a double strike from Ross Tabor, Dave Jones replied.

Then on Sunday they fell behind to Rutherford Lab when Andy Lewis scored, but Gareth Cooper cracked a hat-trick to grab the points in a 4-1 win, Mike Van De Mortel hitting the other goal for Keys.

Ian Horner gave Machines a 1-0 half time lead, but a hat-trick in ten minutes, from Stu Coppock effectively ended the contest.

In Division 3A, Craig Mays hit a four-timer as Robin Hood demolished Stocks 8-1.

Leaders Wallingford Exiles beat Didcot Casuals 4-0 in Division 3B. Matty Peates, Dave Cheeseman, Gary Miller and an own goal made up their tally.

Gareth Bertram and Jamie Heapy netted for Supersonic Sunday in their 2-1 win against JET. Nigel King replied.

Goodlake Arms defeated Allbrite 3-1. Matty Bradley, Tony Cover and Gareth Walker got the others, with Alex Losy replying.
