Seven players from the Oxford Touch Rugby League have received international call-ups for the European Championships and World Cup.
Tash Verniquet (women’s open), Joelene Hughes (mixed 30s), Paul Farrington (men’s 30s), Lance Rossiter and Andrew Robson (both men’s 40s) have all been called into England squads.
Barney Hoskins and Joe Hartley have been selected to represent Switzerland.
The European Championships take place in Bristol from July 22-25 this year, while the World Cup is in Edinburgh next year.
League action kicks off at Oxford RFC on April 26, with a men’s and mixed division.
