Tackle firm Orvis are staging ‘The Orvis Fly Fishing Fair’ at Blenheim Palace on Sunday, April 11, starting at 10am.
The Orvis Pro Guide team will be giving lessons, and fly fishing demonstrations will held throughout day by leading fly-fishers, including Paul Procter and Barrie Welham.
There will also be fly-ying demonstrations, plus plenty of tackle and advice.
l Lechlade Trout Fishery have seen 344 anglers catching 908 fish in March, topped by a fish of 15lb.
On Bushyleaze Lake, 366 anglers had 1,285 fish, the largest going 9lb.
Dates for the diary: Littlemore AS’s AGM is at the Golden Ball, Littlemore, tomorrow (Sunday), starting at 12.15pm.
Oxford Waltonian’s AGM will be held on Monday, April 19, at the New Club, Wheatley starting at 8pm, not March 29 as advertised in membership book.
