There will be an extra edge to the contest when Oxford City travel to face Division 1 South strugglers Milton Keynes Thunder tonight (6pm).
Stars’ duo Paul Gore and Mike Lucas are both former Thunder players, while both Lee Featherstone and Tom Roles transferred from Oxford to Milton Keynes earlier this season.
All four will be keen to do well against their former teams.
Thunder traditionally play well against the Stars on their own big ice pad.
Bottom club Peterborough Islanders visit Oxford tomorrow (6.15pm), when Stars hope to make it four wins out of four this term.
