Charlbury edged to a two-wicket victory against Hook Norton off the last ball in Banbury Indoor League Division 1.

Hook Norton posted 100 all out, with Dan White and Tom Rothwell both hitting 24.

In reply, Ashley Rump (37no) and Rob Knight (32no) were the main contributors as Charlbury reached 101-4.

Banbury thumped Banbury Twenty by five wickets.

Twenty posted 94-1 from their ten overs, before Lloyd Sabin (28no) saw Banbury to 98-1.

Simon Launder starred for Banbury A in their six-wicket win over Great Tew.

Michael Darby had scored 28 not out in Tew’s 82-6, but Launder scored an unbeaten 26 and Ollie Murrey 25 not out as Banbury cruised in.

Byfield won a high-scoring clash with Preston Capes by two wickets.

Rob Williams (36no) and Jack Hawkes (25no) helped Capes to 127-4, but 29 not out from Dan Lowe helped Byfield to 128-4 with two balls to spare.

Tiddington are hosting a coach development workshop on Wednesday, March 24 (7.15pm).

The workshop will be led by Oxford University coach Graham Charlesworth, who will analyse fast bowling techniques.

There will also be an open forum to discuss other coaching issues and techniques.

The cost will be £5 per person, with concessions for multiple club coaches.
