OXFORD United have boosted their striking options with the loan signing of John Grant from Aldershot.
The forward was top scorer as Aldershot won the Conference two seasons ago and with 51 goals in 115 starts for Aldershot has an impressive strike rate.
He has also played for Crewe, Hereford, Telford and Shrewsbury before linking up with U's boss Chris Wilder at Halifax, where he scored 15 times in 2005/6 as the Shaymen reached the play-offs.
He completed the paperwork in time to be eligible for tonight's game at home to AFC Wimbledon Boss Chris Wilder told United's official website: "I worked with John at Halifax and he scored goals regularly and is a good character. His goals record speaks for itself.
"He is six feet tall, he links play up well and he can run the channels as well. He is a strong character with great experience at this level and I know he is looking forward to the challenge.
"We now have options and depth up front that we think will be invaluable as we go in to the last nine weeks of the season."
