Nuneaton Town 5, Banbury Utd 0

BANBURY United were well-beaten as they they crashed 5-0 at Nuneaton Town in the Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division on Friday night.

Ollie Stanbridge had the ball in the net first for Banbury in the 22nd minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Banbury fell behind when Dean Rose rose above the defence to head in the first goal from a corner.

Rose nodded home his second on 38 minutes, before Chris Dillon capitalised on Joe Murrell’s error to make it 3-0 just before half-time.

The second half was one-way traffic for the home side.

James Armson made it 4-0 as Banbury’s defence opened up to allow him to score.

And 11 minutes from time, Dillon completed the rout with No 5.
