Banbury United manager Billy Jeffrey wants to evoke the spirit of their display at Truro at third-placed Nuneaton Town on Friday.

It is the first of two successive games against the same opponents. The sides meet again in the Birmingham Senior Cup second round – at the Liberty Road stadium on Monday.

Banbury, who are unbeaten in their last three Premier Division games, drew 1-1 in their last away game at Truro after the hosts got a late leveller.

“I thought we were unlucky not to win. This will be another tough test, because Nuneaton are flying,” said Jeffrey who has fitness doubts over Jack Ashton (groin) and David Stone (knee).

“I am looking forward to the game. There will be a good atmosphere because they’ll be a big crowd of 700-800.

“We need to get that same spirit that we had at Truro going again.

“Nuneaton will come at us, but we will be trying our hardest to win the game.”

Banbury Utd (v Nuneaton, away): from Murrell, Redknap, Martin, Cray, Learoyd, Haisley, Coleman, Benjamin, Stone, Taylor, Stanbridge, Shariff, Hilliard, Milner, Ashton.
