Ellis Griffin, from Headington Prep School, won a bronze medal on her competitive debut at the IAPS Judo Championships in High Wycombe.
Competing in the the under 44kg group, Griffin won her first match by five points after the contest went to a golden score extra time.
Despite losing her other bouts, that win was enough to give her third place.
In the under 36kg group, Suki Percival finished fifth, while Olivia Berenzy withdrew with a foot injury.
