James Newport scored twice as Harwell Village halted a run of four successive North Berks League defeats with a 4-2 home win over Drayton in Division 1.

A Lee Fuller penalty and a Gareth Fenton strike wrapped it up for Harwell, with Leon Smith and Andrew Cummings replying.

Jonathan Fanstone scored Crowmarsh Gifford’s winner in a 1-0 victory at Didcot Casuals.

AFC Wallingford inflicted Warborough & Shillingford’s eighth successive league defeat, winning 4-1 with goals from Tom Collins, Ross Baker, Michael Cooper and Jake Lovell. James Almond replied.

Harwell International consolidated their position at the top of Division 2 by beating high-fliers Childrey United 3-0, with goals from David Bartlett, Lee Chapman and an own goal.

Marcham and Saxton Rovers Res drew 2-2. Goals from Nick Lewis and Stuart Armstrong for Marcham were cancelled out by strikes from Paul Matthews and Chris Steptoe.

Pete Ashman hit a hat-trick as Benson AFC Res took over at the top of Division 3 with a 4-1 win over previous leaders Kintbury Rangers Res.

Charles Sellwood also netted for Benson.

James Bishop was another hat-trick hero in Hanney United’s 6-0 thrashing of Wootton & Dry Sandford Res.

Craig Payne, Chris Hunt and Jason Maynard completed the rout.

Grove Rangers Res trounced Appleton Town 6-1 in Division 4.

Luke Wilkins and Mario Andrade notched doubles, with Igwasi Owusu-Asomaning and Paul Smith also scoring. Liam Bough replied.
