Bicester Community College’s Lauren Haynes has netted a place in the England Under 15 squad.
The teenager earned her call-up to the 19-girl squad after impressing at a four-day trial at Lilleshall, near Telford.
A member of the Arsenal Football Club Academy, Haynes, whose ambition is to become a professional footballer, has also been invited to attend an England Under 17s fitness testing session.
Jane Causon, acting headteacher at Bicester Community College, said everyone at the school was delighted by the youngster’s success.
“Lauren has shown tremendous determination and focus to develop her fitness and football skills to this level,” she said.
“It’s a credit to her consistent effort that the England scouts have chosen her to join the squad.”
