Oxford United are hoping to resurrect the deal to bring Torquay midfielder Chris Hargreaves back to the club.
The move stalled last Friday because the two clubs could not agree a deal, and Hargreaves played in Torquay’s 3-2 League Two defeat by Burton Albion.
“We feel that we need his experience and presence, so we’d still like to resurrect it,” Wilder said.
“Chris is still a Torquay United player, but he’s put out a desire to come and join us.”
