Farmoor's Christmas match attracted 41 hardy souls despite the freezing weather. Fishing was good considering the conditions, with 99 fish being caught, giving a rod average of 2.4.
Welsh angler Matthew Griffiths was top rod on the day with ten fish for 19.9.0. Second was Total Flyfisher editor Steve Cullen with nine fish for 19.0.0, followed by Jim Longmore with seven good-sized fish for 16.12.8.
Jim also managed the largest fish of the day at 3.0.0. Plenty of brown trout were caught and returned, Brian Parrott banking one of at least 4lb on his first cast!
