Witney coach Phil Harper was more than satisfied with his side’s display against Chipping Norton.
He said: “There was a period of 20 minutes in the first half where we found some nice, quick ball and blew them away with three tries.
“In the second half, we just got a bit over anxious.
“We have made a point that we want people supporting the runners with the ball.
“We don’t want people to go too far ahead and lose it. We managed that well today.”
Chipping Norton’s director of rugby Andy Dawson said: “They were the better side without question.
“I think the score flattered them a little bit, but they were the best side we have faced this year.
“I thought we battled very hard right through.
“The game was won at the breakdown. Turnovers were what cost us.
“If we had settled down a little bit earlier then it would have been closer.
“Considering how many injuries we’ve got, I couldn’t ask any more of them.”
