Prince Pippin is proving a real star for Sean Curran’s Hatford stables, near Stanford in the Vale.
Fresh from springing a 40-1 shock at Plumpton two weeks ago, the three-year-old struck again at Folkestone on Tuesday.
Although his odds doubled to 12-1 prior to the juvenile novices’ hurdle, the outsider of the field romped home by two and three-quarter lengths.
Prince Pippin was sent into an early lead by Anthony Freeman and the pair were never headed.
Freeman said: “The horses are flying, so fair play to Sean who has done a great job.
“This horse was slow to learn, but has been picking it up. Conditions were not ideal, but he has done it well.”
