Long Wittenham Athletic kept up the pressure on North Berks League Division 2 leaders Harwell International with a 1-0 last-gasp victory against Benson AFC.
A tightly-contested match, one of a few to survive the atrocious weather, was settled by a brilliant lob by Long Wittenham’s Joe Harvey in the first minute of injury time.
In Division 3, Benson Lions ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at home to local rivals Benson AFC Res, with goals from Steve Burns, Ben Baker and Dale Wallace.
Bampton Town moved up to second place with a 6-2 home victory over bottom club, Harwell International Res.
Nathan Beckett, Gareth Cook, George Seacole, Mark Carrington, Darryl Kew and Russell Steele were on target for Bampton.
Stanford in the Vale Res missed the chance to go top of Division 5 as they lost 2-0 at home to Bampton Town Res who went top themselves.
Tom Madden and Aiden Necchi-Ghiri found the net for the new leaders.
Benson Lions Res went level on points with Bampton after winning 3-2 at Long Wittenham Athletic Res, with goals from Adrian Evans and Paul Kelloway.
James Ivey and James Fletcher both scored doubles as Sutton Courtenay Res thrashed Hagbourne United Res 7-1.
Tom Francis, Wayne Grant and Matt Hooton also netted, while Dave Sheppard replied.
Gareth Eltham smashed a four-timer for Challow United Res who broke their season-long duck by winning 9-2 at Hanney United Res.
Ben Hummel (2), Cameron Rankine and Luke Alder completed the rout. Steve Wright and Steve Weeks netted for Hanney.
