Witney pulled off a dramatic last-gasp 3-2 win over Eastcote Simbas to go top of South League MBB&O Division 2.

A long hold-up on the M40 meant Witney arrived with barely time for a warm-up, which was reflected in a lethergic and error-strewn first-half performance that left them trailing 2-0.

With 15 minutes to go, Witney sacrificed a defender to really go for it.

Tim Hardy converted a short corner, Francois Clavaud finished off a fine passing move, and Julian Easterbrook capped off a fine comeback.

Banbury showed their “bouncebackability” in a tight 3-2 win over Chichester in Premier Division 1.

Last year’s runners-up went two up but Banbury hit back through Tyson Nunneley.

Richard Foreman levelled and with a minute remaining, Harry Loxton set up Simon Boardman for the winner.

City of Oxford bounced back from last week’s heavy defeat to crush Gerrards Cross 7-1 in Division 1.

Rich Beer and Dan Smyth’s goals were not enough for Rover Oxford, beaten 5-2 at Eastcote.

Rover Oxford 2nd held table-topping Mill Hill 2nd to a 2-2 draw.

John Rogers and Brandon Trew netted, with keeper Paul Hewitson playing his part by making a stunning save.

Oxford Hawks 2nd picked up their first win in Regional 1 with a 3-1 victory at West Hampstead 2nd.
