Centre back Luke Foster hauled Oxford United back on level terms after they had fallen behind in the first half at Barrow.
The Bluebirds took a 29th-minute lead through Jon Shaw, but Foster headed home Adsam Murray's free-kick nine minutes later.
It was his first goal of the season and he became the 12th different player to find the net for the U's this season.
