Witney Utd 3 (McMahon 7, Younie 45, Thompson 54)

Oxford City Nomads 1 (Lewis 49)

Ben Thompson hit his 50th goal for Witney United as they notched up their sixth successive home win with victory over Oxford City Nomads in the Premier Division in the FTL Futbol Hellenic league.

Thompson brought up his half-century with Witney’s third after the break when he shrugged off his marker to fire home after latching on to a quick kick out from John Okole.

Captain John McMahon’s early strike had set Witney on the way, before Andrew Younie ran 70 yards to double their lead on the stroke of half-time.

Kieron Lewis prodded the ball home from a corner to pull one back for Nomads after the break, but Thompson’s goal sealed their fate.

Letcombe 3 (Pendell 5 pen, 53, Patten 44)

Cirencester Utd 2 (Allen 75, Hicks 76)

Letcombe enjoyed the perfect start to their Division 1 West clash when a Jamie Macdonagh shot was handled after five minutes, and Adam Pendell converted the resulting penalty. They increased their lead on the stroke of half-time when Tom Patten’s long-range free-kick deflected off a defender’s head, leaving keeper Colin Buckingham stranded.

Pendell headed home a Lyle Gifford cross early in the second half, before Cirenceter scored twice in a minute through captain Chris Allen and Tony Hicks.

The visitors then had Jason Edwards sent off for a lunge at Gifford.

Clanfield 1 (Brooks 45)

Purton 4 (Fuller 2, Campbell 48, Miller 57 pen, Day 82)

Clanfield made a disastrous start when Warren Fuller scored from close range in the second minute.

Fuller was denied a second three minutes later as Chris Brain saved his spot-kick after Bradley Bryant pushed Jason Miller.

Clanfield equalised on the stroke of half-time when Steve Olphert’s long ball bounced over the Purton keeper and Kevin Brooks slotted home.

Scott Campbell restored Purton’s lead after the break, and it was 3-1 when Justin Miller was fouled in the box by Ben Acock and Miller scored the spot-kick.

Paul Day completed Clanfield’s misery with Purton’s fourth.

Headington Amateurs 2 (Bough 2, Simmonds 58)

Tytherington Rocks 2 (Ackland 52, Scanlon 72)

Charlie Bough’s left-foot shot gave Headington the lead with just two minutes gone.

Nick Ackland fired a free-kick round the defensive wall and into the bottom corner for Tytherington’s equaliser early in the second half.

Adam Simmonds crashed home a splendid 20-yard drive to restore Headington’s lead, but Simon Scanlon slotted Tytherington’s equaliser in the 72nd minute.
