Headington Amateurs 6 Winterbourne 2 Aftab Hafiz and Luke Cuff netted doubles as Headington handed Winterbourne six of the best in Division 1 West on Saturday.

Hafiz fired Headington ahead with a shot from 18 yards, which took a deflection, only for Jimmy Potts to level with a fine drive, before Luke Cuff restored the hosts’ lead.

It was a three-goal seven-minute burst after the break did the damage for Headington.

Ollie Zaja headed in No 3 from Shaun Jacobs’ cross with Cuff netting a fourth after Zaja’s effort was blocked.

Hafiz made it 5-1 from long distance, before Nathan MacKenzie headed in No 6 from Jay Hill’s cross. Potts got a second late on.

North Leigh Res 3 Tytherington Rocks 0 North Leigh were made to fight before beating Tytherinton Rocks.

The hosts broke the deadlock early on when Ady Holder slotted home from the edge of the area.

North Leigh then had to withstand severe Tytherington pressure before Holder scored a second a minute before the break after a mistake by the keeper.

In the second half, North Leigh’s rearguard were working overtime, but held on, with a looping shot from Dom Barnes sealing victory for the hosts.

Clanfield 2 Cirencester Utd 0 A Kevin Brooks brace gave Clanfield their first win.

Cirencester keeper Colin Buckingham denied Adam Webb, Kieran Jennings and Kevin Brooks.

And it wasn’t until the second half, that Clanfield went ahead when Brooks headed in a cross from Kieran Jennings.

They doubled their advantage, when Brooks completed his brace, firing home after Adam Webb’s shot rebounded off a post.

Buckingham prevented Brooks from getting a hat-trick, before he kept out a Webb effort.
