James Constable hit a second-half brace as Oxford United won 4-3 at Histon in a remarkable Blue Square Premier game on Saturday.
Matt Green fired them ahead on 16 minutes, but Histon levelled through Jamie Barker 55 seconds into the second half.
However, Simon Clist then restored United's lead with a brilliant goal, and after the Stutes had keeper Danny Naisbitt sent off, Oxford scored twice more through Constable.
But they almost allowed Histon back into it with the home side scoring with two headers in the last ten minutes.
