STRIKER Jack Midson is aiming to turn the tables on his former teammates when Oxford United visit Histon in tomorrow's Blue Square Premier clash.

Last season, Midson scored for Histon in their 5-2 thrashing of United and was also on target in the return, which the U's won 2-1.

But with the boot on the other foot, he aims to fire his new team to glory against his old pals.

“People have suggested I am saving my first Oxford goal for the game at Histon, but it would be great place to do it,” he said.

“They were a good club to me, even though the football wasn't pretty.

“I don't want to disrespect them because I enjoy-ed it there. I'm looking forward to playing aga-inst my old teammates.

“When I left everyone was patting me on the back saying best of luck for the season, but not when you play against us!”

Midson, who netted 23 goals for the Stutes last season, says that it is a good time to take on Histon.

“Teams didn't like coming to Histon because of the way in which they played – it was very route one.

“But it's actually a good time to play them there, because in January or February you don't know what the pitch is going to be like.”
