Faringdon-based jump jockey Marcus Foley’s hopes of a fairy-tale ending to his career were dashed when his final mount, Terramarique, was pulled up at Newton Abbot on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old, who hails from Lew, near Witney, is retiring to set up a pre-training yard at Rockley, near Marlborough, in Wiltshire.
