Horspath under 10s are over the moon after they won the Chelsea Elite seven-a-side tournament – their tenth success of the summer.
The youngsters competed against teams from London and the surrounding counties at Elmbridge Sports Ground in Hainault.
Horspath finished winners of their group stage and went on to reach the final by playing some outstanding football against some very strong teams.
They won the title after triumphing 1-0 in the final.
They now go on to the Elite Winners’ tournament at Chelsea FC training ground at Cobham, Surrey, next month. It is an amazing achievement for Horspath under 10s whose teams won the Under 10 Blue, Green and Yellow Oxford Mail Boys’ League titles.
Since May, they have won nine tournaments, including the Loudwater Football Club (High Wycombe), Abingdon Youth, Cholsley Bluebirds, Woodley Hammers FC (Maidenhead), Marston Saints, Carterton, Grove Challengers and Didcot Town Youth title.
It is hoped a Chelsea star will attend the end of tournament presentation.
