Hall Green trainer Paul Sallis is hoping to bring back Star of Twilight, the impressive winner of last year's Property Care Complete Maintenance Oxfordshire Stakes, when the event returns to Oxford next month.
However, there is a major doubt as the dog is lame at the moment.
But Sallis has been successful at Oxford and has another couple of runners lined up just in case.
The £2,500 Stakes final is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19.
The heats for the 18 runners will be held the previous week Saturday, September 12.
l HIGH Wycombe handler Richard Yeates has another two good-looking irons in the fire.
It follows the stunning successes of his charges King of Anfield and Boherna Black.
Both excelled in trials at Oxford on Monday, posting impressive times of 26.96 and 26.99 respectively in their first 450m spins.
