East Oxford closed the gap on leaders Horley after posting an 80-run victory in Division 1 on Saturday.

Batting first, East Oxford rattled up 266 all out, with Aftab Alam (79) and Tauqeer Hussain (58) in form.

In reply, Horley’s Harry Smith hit 69, but they fell to 186 all out.

Shrivenham kept up the pressure on the top two with a 54-run win over Charlbury.

Alex Kill (90) and Mark Whale (53) saw Shrivenham to 285-8.

Charlbury’s Ashley Rump scored 75 and Steven Hicks 55 not out, but they fell to 231 all out.

Westbury beat Oxford Caribbean by eight wickets.

Josh Nix took 5-28 as Caribbean were rolled over for 152, before Michael Loggin (65no) saw Westbury to 153-2.

In Division 2, Garsington stayed clear at the top with a 92-run win over Fringford.

Asif Shah hit 97 not out in Garsington’s 188-4, before Clive Brown (4-35) and Gersh Whiteman (3-7) combined to skittle Fringford for just 96.

Minster Lovell maintained their title bid with a nine-wicket win over Northleach.

Glenn Crompton (73) helped saw to 206-7, but Minster cruised to 207-1, thanks to 83 not out from Ashley Hubbert and 74 from Andy Crawford.

Marsh Gibbon saw off Hook Norton by 20 runs to move up to third.

Joe Leonard top-scored with 42 in Marsh Gibbon’s 189-6, before Matt Mead took 3-31 as Hooky were held to 169-9.

Watlington crushed East & West Hendred by ten wickets, with a fine all-round display from Steve Strong.

Hendred were bowled out for 187, Strong taking 4-48 and Aaron Baker 4-41.

Strong then hit 86 not out and Peter Smith 95 not out as Watlington cruised to 190-0.

Lowly Faringdon fell to a four-wicket defeat against Letcombe.

Richard Taylor took 4-27 as Faringdon were restricted to 163-9, before Letcombe reached 164-6, Richard Hales hitting 40.

Division 3 leaders Witney Swifts edged to a six-run win over Broughton.

Jason Seacole (78no) and Alan Williams (53) helped Swifts to 202-6, before Broughton closed on 196-7, Graeme Woodward taking 3-34.

There were star performances with bat and ball as Stonesfield beat Westcott by 65 runs.

Tim Wyatt hit a superb 140 as Stonesfield rattled up 237-7.

Tom Gubbins then shone with the ball, taking 7-45 as Westcott fell to 172 all out.

At the foot of the table, Eynsham posted a win in their battle against relegation, defeating Radley by two wickets.

Adam Hingley (3-27) and Chris Bowles (3-36) combined as Radley were restricted to 164-8, Eynsham replying with 165-8 for a narrow victory Kings Sutton remain in trouble after a nine-wicket defeat against West Ilsley.

Sinith Chandran took 4-34 as Kings Sutton fell to 135 all out, before Huw Evans (58no) saw West Ilsley to victory.

Freddie Lyon took 6-41 for Oxenford, but finished on the losing side as Clifton Hampden beat Oxenford by two wickets.

Andy Parke hit 72 in Oxenford’s 201-8, but Clifton edged home at 202-8, Alistair Slay scoring 86 not out.

Combe stretched their lead at the top of Division 4 with a 137-run win over Hailey.

Jonny Bourchier top-scored with 88 in Combe’s 205-9, and then Hassan Mohsin took 6-22 as Hailey fell to just 68 all out.

East Oxford 2nd saw off Brill by two wickets.

Brill posted 196-6, but Khalid Mahmood (57) and Mo-hammed Ayyaz (50no) took East Oxford to 199-8.

Oxford Rescue cruised to an eight-wicket victory over Charlbury 2nd.

Danny Wells captured 5-19 as Charlbury were skittled for 94, before David Layen hit 56 not out in Rescue’s 95-2.

Deddington eased to a 52-run victory over Minster Lovell 2nd.

Solid batting saw Deddington to 209 all out, Harry Ebsworth taking 5-27 for Minster.

In reply, Minster were restricted to 157-9, Peter Lowe taking 5-50.
