OCA League Divisions 5-11

DIVISION 5 leaders Chadlington were sent crashing to their first defeat of the season as they were rolled over for 69 by Chesterton.

Only Danny Harding (38) got into double figures, with Jimmy Appleton taking 4-23 and Trevor Price 3-30.

John Campbell then hit 35 not out as Chesterton cruised home.

Graham Rowley took 4-6 to help Kennington to an eight-wicket victory over Cassington.

Ben Hemingway hit 47 in Cassington’s 104 all out, before Paul Brooks scored 66 not out as Kennington eased home.

West Witney defeated Horley 2nd by 99 runs.

Ben van Vuuren (95no) and Satish Kumar (69) helped West Witney to 225-3, then John Tuck took 6-36 as Horley fell to 126 all out.

In Division 6, Cairns Fudge edged to a ten-run win over Wolvercote.

James Halfhead hit 69 in Cairns Fudge’s 191 all out, before Wolvercote were restricted to 181-7.

Freeland 2nd edged past leaders Chipping Norton by six runs.

Grant Madden scored 63 in Freeland’s 155 all out, before Chippy were held to 149-9, Ben Wagerfield taking 3-56.

Michael Ray took 5-25 to help Shrivenham 2nd to a 94-run victory over Stanton Harcourt.

Shrivenham posted 167-9, before Ray helped to dismiss Stanton for 73.

In Division 7, Dave Skidmore took 6-34 as Stonesfield 2nd thrashed Eynsham 2nd by nine wickets.

Eynsham were all out for 61, before Stonesfield cruised in.

Wantage and Garsington 2nd tied a low-scoring affair.

Duncan Wooloff hit 51 in Wantage’s 128 all out, before David Henson took 4-42 as Garsington were also shot out for 128.

Dan Hopkins took 6-19 as Steventon were skittled for just 50 by Westbury 2nd.

Westbury struggled to reach the paltry target, but got home at 51-6.

In Division 8, leaders Kilkenny edged past Marcham 2nd by three runs, while Hook Norton 2nd kept up the pressure with an eight-wicket victory at home to Risinghurst.

Sunningwell 2nd stayed top of Division 9 after an eight-wicket victory over Kennington 2nd.

James Smith took 4-21 and Andy Claydon 4-32 as Kennington fell to 104 all out, then Nigel Lovell hit 54 to steer Sunningwell to 105-2.

Nick Raynor scored 89 not out to help Westcott 2nd to a ten-wicket win over Swinbrook 2nd in Division 10, while in Division 11, leaders Radley 2nd defeated Sunningwell 2nd by 30 runs.
