Oxford United will have alternating sponsors on their home and away shirts this season.

Builders merchant Buildbase will continue with its sponsorship of the home strip – and will be joined by sister organisation, Plumbase, who will sponsor the away shirts.

United chairman Kelvin Thomas said: “This is a very exciting partnership for the club.

“We have had a long-standing and very successful relationship with Buildbase, and having their sister company Plumbase on the away shirt is going to be very distinctive and eye-catching.”

Speaking about the decision to sponsor OUFC’s away strip, Plumbase managing director Tom McElkerney said: “This is a good marketing opportunity for us.

“The Plumbase name will be seen by all those watching Oxford United’s away games where the change of strip is worn.”

United’s new away kit is set to be unveiled towards the end of their pre-season campaign.
