OXFORD City won their latest Wessex League match, seeing off Marlborough by 87 points at Horspath.

Pride of place went to Beth Hawtin, who posted a fine victory in the under 13 girls’ 800m, clocking a national grade 1 standard time of 2mins 31.8secs.

Elisha Evans clocked an impressive 2.39.6 in the B string 800m.

English schools’ competitior Rebecca Hussey triumphed in the under 17 girls’ 200m and 300m, while Ollie Wingfield was victorious in the under 15 boys’ 200m, coming home in 25.9secs.

Matthieu Marshall finished second in the under 15 boys’ 1500m with a personal best of 4.40.6.

l OXFORD City’s Quadkids led the way as they beat Camberley into second place by 96 points.

Adam Smith won the overall boys’ individual competition, amassing a total of 245 points in the 75m, long jump, 600m and howler events.

He was supported by teammates Joe Ryan (234 points), Livi Jones (219), Kit Tavinor (159), Jacob Tack (140) and Christopher Wood (127).

Alice Byles top-scored for the girls with 190 points, finishing second.

Shazney Sumbi scored 189 points for third place.
