OCA League Divisions 5 & 6

Danny Harding was again the star of the show as he smashed 144 not out to help Chadlington to a 149-run victory over Chalgrove.

Richard Ingram chipped in with 58 as Chadlington posted a formidable 268-5, before Martin Shepherd took 5-42 as Chalgrove fell to 119 all out.

Ben Hemingway took 7-30, but finished on the losing side as West Witney beat Cassington by 58 runs.

Omar Tariq hit 48 in West Witney’s 147 all out, then Cassington fell to 89 all out, Graham Rowles and Mark Spolander both taking four wickets.

Chesterton edged past Kennington by one wicket.

Jimmy Appleton (4-26) and Simon Morse (3-38) combined as Kennington were bowled out for 137, and then Chesterton edged home at 138-9.

There was another thrilling finish at Swinbrook, who squeezed past Great Horwood 2nd by one wicket.

Horwood fell to 115 all out, Tom Yallop taking 5-39.

Charlie Allen (34) saw Swinbrook home at 116-9, despite 5-20 from Neil Taylor.

In Division 6, Stanton Harcourt’s Chris Pascoe had a great day as he helped his side to a 117-run victory over Cairns Fudge.

Pascoe hit 100 in Stanton’s 243 all out, before taking 3-15 as the Fudge were shot out for 126.

Chipping Norton saw off Dorchester by three wickets.

Dave Wood claimed 4-43 as Dorchester were shot out for 98, before Dave Symes hit 43 in Chippy’s reply of 101-7.

Freeland 2nd eased to a 99-run win over Wolvercote.

They posted 220 all out, Max Goodwin hitting 46.

In reply, Wolvercote fell to 121 all out, Bob Godwin taking 3-17.

Rhys Mills hit 92 and Chris Sugden 65 not out as Shrivenham 2nd scored 203-6 against Stanton St John Willows.

Richard Deacon claimed 4-39 as Willows were bowled out for 148.

Tetsworth 2nd beat Ducklington by seven runs.

They were restricted to 170-9, thanks largely to 4-45 from youngster Sam Costley.

Ducklington got close with 46 from Colin Priest, but fell to 163 all out.
