Oxford D beat Oxford Ladies 3-2 in their away clash to record a 6-4 aggregate win in the Inter Area C Team Competition.

In a match played at Didcot Conservative Club, Oxford D, who held a 3-2 lead from the first leg, found themselves 1-0 down when Jenny Abbott beat Adam Thorn 5,620-1,870.

But then Chris Storch (4,270) and Joe Storch (4,090) put the D side 2-1 up on the night and 5-3 up on aggregate.

Sue Atkins (7,760) pulled one back, but Craig Mace took the last game 3,410-2,870 against Pauline Withey to clinch victory.

In the Bill Moore Cup, Gary Johnson defeated Keith Sheard 2-0 at the Vikings Club.

Sheard failed with the break in the first leg, which let in Johnson to take the leg 8,960-2,650.

The second leg saw Johnson come off the break early and Sheard regained the spots to knock up a 9,000 break.

On course for victory, he sent a ball up behind the ten pocket and not allowing for the left-hand roll missed it completely to Johnson's delight.
