Bashley 3 (Allen 38, Ballard og 40, Moss 62)
Oxford City 2 (Faulconbridge 7, 25)
Oxford City threw away a two-goal lead as they fell to defeat in Hampshire – a result which severely dents their Premier Division play-off hopes.
They went ahead when Darren Pond set up Craig Faulconbridge, who rounded his marker to drive into the net.
A corner from Bashley’s Chris Ferrett was headed over by Matt Parnell, while Faulconbridge might have done better after receiving the ball from Andy Ballard, but he fired into the side-netting.
City’s lead was doubled when Alex Fisher’s cross was headed goalwards by Pond, and althoughBashley keeper David Elm parried, the ball fell to Faulconbridge to score.
The home side reduced the arrears when Dave Allen hammered in a shot off the underside of the bar, and two minutes later, they were level when Andy Ballard sliced a cross from Charlie Knight into his own net.
In the second half, City came under plenty of pressure and Bashley sealed the points when a free-kick found Ryan Moss, who scrambled the ball home.
Oxford City: Harrison, Lambert (Davis 79), Clarke, Gunn, Pond (Benjamin 66), Ballard, Savage, Malone, Faulconbridge, Fisher (Faulkner 66), Bell. Subs not used: Brooks, Merritt.
Attendance: 302.
