North Oxford AS fished their first match of the close season on the Oxford Canal at Wolvercote Green, where the 14 anglers struggled with a downstream wind which made presentation awkward.
Pegged in the middle of the green, Dave Scott-Picton finished the match with a winning net of skimmers weighing 6.6.0, after feeding small balls of groundbait with pinkie on the hook.
Starting off with bread punch and then later switching to chopped worm, Jason Bean took second place with 5.6.0 of skimmers and perch.
Not far behind was Paul Jackman with 5.4.0 of skimmers on punch and maggot straight down the middle.
