Supporters group OxVox has sent a letter to the Football Conference and the Football Association demanding that the findings of the Conference’s internal review is immediately made public.
The letter follows a petition signed by more than 5,000 fans of Oxford United, Mansfield Town, Bognor Regis Town and Crawley Town, which asked that the Conference overturns its decision to dock points from each club for fielding an ‘ineligible’ player.
OxVox recently received a letter from the Conference ‘thanking’ supporters who signed the petition and stating that a statement about the internal review ‘MAY’ be made public.
A statement read: “The supporters trusts from each of the affected club all agree that it is totally unacceptable that these findings might not be revealed until the end of the season, if they are even released at all.
“We are deeply disappointed and angry that the Conference is trying to let this issue die down rather than addressing the concerns and grievances of the thousands of fans who signed the petition.”
