Blewbury's challenge to Saxton Rovers for top spot in North Berks League Division 1 suffered a blow as they could only draw 1-1 with Drayton on Saturday.

Richard Wilson fired Drayton ahead from close range only for Blewbury to level when Lawrence Hoey netted following an excellent cross from John Hedges.

Saxton Rovers could not take advantage as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ardington & Lockinge.

After a goalless first half, Michael Beal put Saxton ahead on 65 minutes, but Ardington equalised ten minutes from time through Gareth Fenton.

Faringdon Town boosted their hopes of a top-four finish with a 2-0 win at Harwell Village, thanks to goals from Darren Clark and Danny Courtney.

Didcot Casuals got their Division 2 title bid back on track with a 4-1 win at second-place Warborough & Shillingford.

Johnny Pearce led the way with a brace, with Ben Chaffey and Tom Fisher also on target. Warborough replied through an Adam Oram penalty.

Ian Fawkes smashed a four-timer as Coleshill Un-ited thrashed strugglers Sutton Courtenay 10-0.

Gary Ashford (2), Danny Sealey (2), Mike Soule and James Rowe completed the rout.

Benson AFC are still in the hunt following a 3-1 win at Grove Rangers, with goals from Rob Lyons, Jim Oliver and Andrew Wright.

Marcham recorded a 5-0 success against Lambourn Res.

They lead by seven points from Childrey United who beat Benson Lions 4-0, thanks to a hat-trick from Danny Hogan and a James Wilkins strike.

Strikes from Chris Key and Jamie Clark were in vain as Harwell International Res slumped to a 3-2 defeat against Ardington & Lockinge Res.

A last-minute goal from Chris Hunt brought Division 4 leaders Hanney United a 1-0 win at Faringdon Town A.

Two goals apiece from Tito Rodriguez and Martin Newbold saw Benson AFC Res to a 4-2 victory against Challow United.

Stanford in the Vale kept up the chase for the title with a 3-0 win at Hagbourne United.

It was thanks to strikes from Paul Willoughby, Adam Clay and Sam Rees.

Stuart Coppock notched a brace as Steventon Res beat Marcham Res 3-2 to boost their chances of escaping the drop.

Derrick Elliott scored the other goal in a rare win.

Saxton Rovers Res boo-ked their place in the final of the AG Kingham Cup with a straight-forward 2-0 win against Shrivenham A.

Neil Pether and Steve Pitson were the scorers for Saxton.

They will meet Drayton Res in the final in May after they battled to a 2-1 victory against Faringdon Town Res.

Carl Bolton and Ben Taboada found the back of the net for Drayton.

Lee Ruddle clawed one back for Faringdon, but it wasn’t enough.
