Rover Oxford slumped to a 5-1 defeat at home to second-placed Cannock in Slazenger England League Women’s Conference West.
Cannock opened the scoring in the sixth minute, but bottom club Rover were level in the 27th minute when Laura Smyth rounded the keeper before driving the ball past two defenders on the line.
Rover fell behind again when Great Britain Olympian Charlotte Craddick fired home from a short corner.
Tempers flared in the second half and Craddick was lucky not to be sent off.
However, Rover’s Leanne Grimsley was shown a yellow card and was sent to the sin-bin for ten minutes.
This allowed Craddick to dominate on the left side, and Cannock scored twice more from short corners, before adding a fifth late on.
