The organisers of this Sunday’s Marlow Fours and Pairs Head, have switched the event from the Thames to Dorney Lake, the 2012 Olympic rowing course at Eton, and as a result, have received 362 entries.
The entry is not just in fours and pairs since a decision was taken to change the format with the addition of sculls divisions and coastal classes to the programme.
The crews will race in three divisions, starting at 9am, 11am and 1pm.
It seems a popular decision since large numbers of crews from City of Oxford, Abingdon RC and Nephthys, the Oxford University lightweightmen, are joined by Wallingford, Oxford Academicals, St Edward’s and Balliol College.
