Self-proclaimed Olympic failure Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards was guest of honour at the OCA League’s presentation evening, held at Drayton Golf Club.

After talking to more than 100 guests about his not-so glorious career as Britain’s only ever Olympic ski-jumper, Edwards, who became a household name during the 1988 Winter Olympics, dished out prizes to all the league’s winners from the 2008 season.

Tetsworth won a league and cup double again, taking the Division 1 title and successfully defending the Airey Cup.

Horley’s Harry Smith was named OCA League young player of the year, while the batsman of the year prize went to Northleach Town’s Neil Ferreira and the bowling award went to Westbury 2nd’s Neil Wilkins.
