Fieldside A look odds-on to win the Premier Division of the Gentworks Oxford Autumn League with two weeks to go, after they came from 2-0 down to defeat Riley A 4-2, writes DAVID WHITE.

Karl Walker and Michael Bennett won two frames each after Fieldside captain Paul Robinson had lost the first two to James Stone.

Fieldside have a bye in the final week but are nine points clear of second-placed Riley B, who recorded a 5-1 win against Woodstock A.

Green Road Club remain third in Division 1 following a 4-2 win at House Club B.

A break of 33 helped Ray Benwell win the opening frame for Green Road, but it needed Andy Benwell to def-eat Keith Philpott to secure victory.

Oracle B eased to a 4-2 win against Division 2 title rivals Littlemore RBL A.

Frankie Merola lost the opening frames to Brain McAllister, but brother Nino beat Steve Fitzgerald to level the match before dad Pom recorded an easy win against Richard Berry.

Richard Mundy was in inspired form for Riley E in Division 4 and increased the highest break to 54 during huis side’s 5-1 win against House Club A.

The tightest division is Division 5, with four teams able to win the title or promotion.
