Stanford-in-the-Vale provided the biggest success for the North Berks League in round two of the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup.

They won 4-2 at high-riding Reading League Division Three side Turnpike Sports after extra-time, with Adam Clay (2), Richard Evans and Sam Rees the men on target.

In-form Marcham gave Compton no quarter, as they hammered them 14-0.

Wes Costar led the way with four, Will Westall notched a hat-trick and the others were scored by Phil Jeacock (2), Tommy Cousins (2), Tristan Barrett, Lewis Hill and Phil Stokes.

Long Wittenham were unlucky to lose 5-2 at home to Coleshill United in an all North Berks clash.

Michael Soule put Coleshill ahead and James McCarthy made it 2-0 after the break, but Andy Taylor pulled one back.

Chris Quinten added a third, Danny Osborne reduced the arrears, but Matthew Bugden and Ian Fawkes sealed Coleshill’s win.

Shrivenham A won 2-0 at Drayton Res, thanks to James Cornfield’s brace.

Dave Stebbings (2), Steve Weaving and Matty Booker gave Grove Rangers a 4-0 success at neighbours East Hendred.

Recalled Tommy Fisher bagged the winning goal, as Didcot Casuals went through 1-0 against Wootton & Dry Sandford Res.

Hanney United eased to a 3-0 home win over Steventon Res, thanks to goals from Dave Laye, Danny Sayer and James Bishop.

Wootton & Dry Sandford thrashed Warborough & Shillingford 5-1 in round one of the North Berks Cup thanks to Richard Chilvers (2), Stephen Madge, Tom Larman and an own goal.

Ian Oram had given Warborough the lead.

Meanwhile, in league action, Ben Parry and Ben Sutton kept Saxton Rovers top of Division 1 with a 3-1 win over Steventon.

Title-chasers Blewbury edged out AFC Wallingford 4-3 with Adam Bailey, Tom Ingram, Lee Hedges and Adam Spurrett on target.

Crowmarsh Gifford slipped up 3-1 at home to Ardington & Lockinge.

Chris Roche put the visitors ahead before Danny O’Driscoll equalised from the penalty spot, but Gareth Fenton and Benny Sutton sealed the points.

Lambourn Sports beat Faringdon Town 4-2, with Ben Hopkins (2), Adrian Mooney and Michael Ann-etts on target.

Liam Humphreys and Garry Sutton replied.

Saxton Rovers Res thumped Kingsclere 6-0 in Division 2 with Wayne Waldron (4), Jamie Haw-thorne and new Nigerian signing Chykwhemeka Ovu-woric their scorers.

In Division 4, Benson AFC Res maintained their 100 per cent record with a 4-3 win at Marcham Res.

Goals from Tim Millard (2), Kieran Ellis and James Taylor sealed the win, with Leighton Jackson (2) and Jon Cummings replying.

Didcot Casuals Res beat East Hendred Res 4-0, thanks to goals from Gareth Cole, Sean Beard, Luke Ridley and Tim Young.

Benson Lions Res moved into second place in Division 5, thanks to a 3-0 win at home to Challow United Res.
