Oxford City 2 (Redknap 58, Faulkner 62)

Chesham Utd 1(Marsala 51)

James Faulkner hit the second-half winner as Oxford City set up a possible plum tie with a top non-league side in the next round after victory at Court Place Farm on Saturday.

It looked as though Southern League Premier Division side City may be on the way out as they trailed 1-0, but strikes from George Redknap and Faulkner turned the FA Cup Third Qualifying round tie in their favour.

The hosts were not at their best in the first half, and it was Chesham, from Division 1 Midlands, who created most of the chances.

Dave Fotheringham fired straight at City keeper Ryan Harrison after being set up by Dom Masala, before Steve Cawley and Darrell Cox spurned good opportunities.

Bobby Smith in the Chesham goal was having a quiet time and his only real test was an effort from Steve Davis.

Five minutes after the break, Chesham took the lead. Masala shrugged off the challenge of Michael Lyon before beat Harrison with a powerful drive.

City rallied and levelled when Redknap touched in a Davis free-kick past Smith.

They kept up the pressure and four minutes later, Faulkner smashed home the winner from Redknap's perfect cross.
